The Russian Housing history, centered on Kommunalkas and Dachas, inspired 'Dacha in the city: XL, L, M & S,' a Hustle Hub competition entry in Moscow's ZiL district. Addressing housing challenges for the young workforce, the project prioritizes affordability, cyclic leasing, and career focus. Emphasizing volume over area, it offers diverse living options, promoting happiness through clustered communities. The design allocates 50% for 500 units and 50% for shared facilities, fostering a balance between built and green spaces. Each unit features a distinctive identity, private entry, and balcony, addressing privacy concerns. Sunlight-infused courtyards and stepped sections provide well-lit, ventilated apartments with river views, promoting community interaction through intricate neighborhood pockets and organized complexities.
